Pernod Ricard USA is entering Frïs Vodka into the flavor game with the launch of Frïs Cherry, Frïs Blueberry and Frïs Grape. The three flavors will add a new dimension to the fast-rising Danish brand (Frïs has added over 150,000 nine-liter cases in the U.S. since 2006), which Pernod added as part of its V&S acquisition.
“The three most popular and fastest growing flavors on the market today are blueberry, grape and cherry. The combination of the dynamic growth of the value-priced flavored vodka segment along with opportunity to expand distribution, increase awareness and grow sales for Frïs made the decision to move aggressively into the flavored vodka segment an easy one to make,” says Troy Gorczyca, Senior Brand Manager of Frïs Vodka for Pernod Ricard USA.
The extentions are adorned with photorealistic images of the fruit and colored caps and labels to help consumers differentiate the flavors within the portfolio. PRUSA will support the launch with point of sale items as well as national print and online advertising. The 70-proof vodkas will retail for $9.99 per 750ml (the price of standard Frïs) and will also be available in 1L and 1.75L bottles.
