Proximo Spirits’ Three Olives vodka brand is adding its 18th flavor
extension, Rangtang, a blend of orange and tangerine flavors. The new
offering is selling alongside other Three Olives flavors at around $20
a bottle. One clear mark of differentiation for Rangtang is its bright
orange color, which stands apart even among Three Olives’ own vast
flavor line. Proximo says the new flavor is positioned as a straight
sipper as well as a cocktail base.

The U.K.-produced Three Olives has been one of the market’s more adept
players within flavored vodka the past few years, carving out a niche
with offbeat entries like root beer, tomato and espresso and enjoying
a strong on-premise presence via cherry- and grape-bomb drinks,
featuring its flavors mixed with Red Bull, among other cocktails.

Three Olives’ U.S. volume has roughly doubled since 2006, rising to
1.25 million cases on growth of 14% in 2009, according to Impact
Databank.
