Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) is set to invest $11.8 million over five years in a new 200,000-square-foot facility in Lexington County, South Carolina. RNDC intends to begin moving from its current location—not far away, in West Columbia—to the new site by September.

Peter Fawcett, ceo of RNDC of South Carolina, says the business “continues to grow and gain market share, and this new facility will give us the room we need to remain competitive.”

RNDC South Carolina gained exclusive rights to Constellation's wine and spirits business last summer under that producer’s ongoing U.S. distribution realignment. The second-largest wine and spirits wholesaler in the U.S., RNDC ranks third in South Carolina—after Ben Arnold-Sunbelt Beverage Co (Charmer Sunbelt) and Southern Wine & Spirits respectively—with estimated 2009 revenues of $170 million in the state.
