Pasternak Wine Imports of Harrison, New York has announced that Gary Clayton has joined its executive leadership team as Vice President, Director of Marketing. Clayton provides Pasternak with over 20 years of experience working with wine and spirits companies such as Pernod Ricard, Allied Domecq and Banfi Vintners. In his new role, Clayton will help support the importer’s relationships with brand owners and distributors, and assist in the development of the company’s marketing capabilities. “Gary’s extensive experience in both wines and spirits will help to dramatically improve our ability to market our important brands,” said Pasternak President and Chief Executive Officer James Galtieri.
Pasternak, whose import portfolio includes Château Lafite Rothschild and Cave de Lugny from France and the Spanish Giró Ribot Cava portfolio, dramatically increased its Italian wine offerings in 2009. Tuscany-based producer Dievole selected Pasternak as its importer in February, and the company became the exclusive U.S. importer of the Valdo and Fattoria dei Barbi labels in December 2009.
