Diageo has named Doug Bagley as its new commercial director of Australasia, effective July 1st. Bagley has been with Diageo since 2009, when he was named commercial director of China and Hong Kong, and general manager of Diageo China. Before joining Diageo, Bagley spent over 10 years with Unilever.
Bagley replaces Denis Brown, who has been Diageo’s commercial director for Australasia the last four years. He will step down in June. In his 18 years with Diageo, Brown helped launch Smirnoff Ice in nearly 30 markets with the Global Smirnoff Brand Team, and held general manager duties for Diageo Czech Republic and Slovakia and Guinness Anchor Berhad—Diageo’s joint venture with Asia Pacific Breweries in Malaysia. Before his most recent position, Brown had served as Diageo’s commercial director for Australia.
