Empire Merchants, a distributor for the Metro New York area, has added the Tanteo Tequila range to its roster. Available in 250 regional locations, the 100% Blue Weber Agave Blanco Tequila has several flavors, including Jalapeño, Tropical and Chocolate. Prior to joining Empire Merchants, Tanteo Tequila was distributed by MHW Ltd, who originally helped launch the brand in 2009.

Co-founder and ceo of Tanteo Spirits, Jonathan Rojewski, hopes Empire Merchants’ “experienced sales force” will introduce the Tequila “to new customers and further drive on- and off-premise sales.” This month, the sales team will promote on-premise Tanteo Tequila cocktails, tastings and new off-premise distribution methods in an effort to build the brand. Tanteo Tequila retails for about $45 per 750ml.

Created through a business partnership between Peerless Importers and Charmer Industires, Empire Merchants was founded in 2007. In June, Empire added another ultra-premium Tequila, Tequila Avión, to its portfolio. New York ranks as the fourth-largest Tequila market nationwide.
