Lalonde Moving From Louis Vuitton NA To Become CEO Of Moët & Chandon

Daniel Lalonde, currently president and ceo of Louis Vuitton North
America, has been appointed ceo of Maison Moët et Chandon, the world’s
largest Champagne brand more than twice over. Lalonde replaces
Frédéric Cumenal, who led Moët & Chandon for six years. The new
appointment takes effect July 26th.

Lalonde will report to Moët Hennessy president and ceo Christophe
Navarre in his new role. He joined LVMH in 2002 as president and ceo,
North America of its Watches & Jewelry business group, ascending to
lead Louis Vuitton NA in 2006.

Maison Moët et Chandon’s name brand shipped 2.45 million cases in 2009
on a 12.5% decrease according to Impact Databank. The Champagne also
includes luxury label Dom Perignon and Mercier, a popular brand in the
French domestic market.
